Our approach to literacy plan design supports teachers through sustained professional learning around co-constructed goals and initiates an iterative process of inquiry, revision, and growth. This collaborative and responsive design for creating literacy action plans paired with the complexity of literacy can lead to an unpredictable and messy process. Thus, we used the principles shown here to guide this important work in schools. (See graphic on right.)
